Therapist
I am a graduate of Red Mountain Institute with dual certifications in Clinical Massage and Neuromuscular Therapy. I am licensed through the Alabama Board, Nationally Certified by the NCBTMB, and also a member of the American Board of Massage Professionals.
Since graduating Red Mountain Institute I've volunteered at Cooper Green Hospital Endorphine Clinic. The Endorphine Clinic objective is to present strategies for maximizing overall health which aim at integration of the body, mind, and spirit. Massage is one of many alternative therapies offered to patients with chronic pain, depression, and anxiety.
I was a guest on radio station WBHJ 95.7 Jamz speaking to the community about the benefits of therapeutic massage. Chair massages were given to radio personalities live on the air. I also joined WBHJ 95.7 Jamz on April 15th at the Birmingham Post Office. I offered free chair massage to last minute tax filers to alleviate stress. I was captured on local news.
Cooper Green Hospital amoung others required my professional services to give chair massage to the employees and also its professional administrative staff at a workshop, "To Increase Coping Skills to Lessen Stress."
The future goal of Relaxing Touch Therapeutic Massage is to introduce therapeutic massage into communities that lack the benefits of therapeutic massage. The people will be educated and given information on how their body will benefit both mentally and physically.
